Who Represents Polk County

Every elected official serving Polk County, from the courthouse to Washington — with contact information, terms, and when each seat is next on the ballot.

Redistricting · what changed for you

Texas redrew its congressional map for 2026. Polk County was not split, but it did move: the county's own March 2026 primary ballot carried one congressional race, in the 10th district, and no 8th district contest appears anywhere in its 2026 returns. Your November ballot has one U.S. House race, one State Representative race and one State Senate race. The member serving Polk County until January 2027 was elected under the old map. Cities

Texas municipal elections are nonpartisan by law, so no party is listed. Livingston uses the title Alderman; other cities use Council Member.

Seven Oaks — no roster published

PolkTX previously listed a mayor and council for Seven Oaks from the Texas Municipal League directory. Those entries have been removed: the published city number is disconnected, and nothing found about the city's officers is newer than 2001. Rather than show names nobody can verify, the city is listed here with none. If you hold current information, tell us and we will publish it.
