List a rental
Free for any landlord letting in Polk County. One form, so we get everything we need the first time and do not have to come back with questions.
What we list
Apartments, houses, duplexes, mobile homes and rooms let by the month. Not holiday lets — a place rented by the night or the week belongs on Vrbo or Airbnb, and putting it here would bury the people looking for somewhere to live.
Three things we ask for, and why
The rent. Every listing shows it. It is the first thing anybody filters on, and “call for pricing” wastes your time as much as theirs. A listing without it is not published.
At least one photograph, and the date you took it. A listing with no picture is a phone number pretending to be a home. The date is on the listing so a reader can see how current it is.
A confirmation every 30 days. A rental goes in days, and a page full of let properties is worse than no page. Your listing comes down automatically 30 days after you last confirmed it. We email you before it does, and replying is enough to keep it up.
How people reach you
Straight from the listing — your phone number, your email, or both. There is no message form standing between you and a tenant, because you want the call and we should not be sitting in the middle of it.
What we do not do
We do not take applications, run credit checks, hold deposits or handle money of any kind. We never charge a renter. A person reads every submission before it appears.
The rental
Fields marked with an asterisk are required. Everything else is optional, but the more you give the fewer questions you get.
Want it seen by more people?
Listing is always free. Rental listing boost is $25 and pins one rental to the top of the rentals page for 30 days — the same run as a listing’s confirmation window, so the two come up for renewal together.
